my inspirations

a proverb in my native language states "what you surround yourself with, this you will become." the same is true for one's creative process and inspiration.  the roots of the ways, and methods of our thinking are determined by what we consume. my source of inspiration, and the pathways I choose in my designs is heavily influenced by several art, and design movements from the XX century.

soviet avant garde (1910-1920s)

what fascinates me about this art movement is its attempt to communicate, grandiose ideas through incredibly abstract symbols, and visuals. constructivism breaches the border between art, and the propaganda role it was designed to serve. ultimately it was discarded as too abstract for an avarage 1920s soviet citizen, still it makes it one of my favourite visual styles.
polish school of poster design
a niche subgenre of more artistic design. although i was too young to experience it first-hand this movement sparked my interest in maximalist designs.
american modernism
the resulting, seemingly uniformed international style orginates in the heads of American Modernists in the beginnings of the 20th century. what we take for granted as
the granted for how we think about space, and communication was a revolution that began, among many places, in the US.
